Brio - FAQs

Do I need to turn the Brio on and off every time I get in and out of my car?

No you don’t. When you get into your car, the Brio and your mobile phone will automatically connect with each other making connection refreshingly simple for you.

Will the Brio alert me when I get a SMS on my mobile phone?

No. The Brio is primarily a Handsfree speakerphone.

How long do I stay connected for?

Provided your Brio and your mobile phone (or other Bluetooth® devices) are within the operating range of 10 metres, they should stay connected to each other. If you try to connect with another Bluetooth device, you will loose the connection of your Brio.

Will my phone automatically connect when I'm in range of the Brio?

Most phones will auto connect to your Brio when you're within range (provided they have been previously paired). If your phone doesn't auto connect, refer to the user guide of your mobile phone on how to establish a connection.

How do I know I'm connected?

If your mobile phone is connected with the Brio an icon will display. You can also look up your Bluetooth menu on your mobile phone to see the connection status.

Do I have to pair the Brio and the mobile phone every time I want to use it?

No you don't. Once you've paired the Brio and the mobile phone, they will always be paired and should appear in your 'paired devices' list on your mobile phone. However, when you want to use these two devices together you'll need to make sure they are 'connected' with each other.

I can't power up the Brio after charging for more than 20 minutes?

For the first time, the Brio should be charged for at least 4 hours prior turning on. This will condition the battery for first use. We recommend that the battery be fully charged before using the Brio.

I can't hear any sound coming through the Brio?

If you can't hear any sound coming through the Brio, ensure:

  • The Brio has been turned on
  • The Brio has been paired with a mobile phone
  • The Brio has an active connection with your mobile phone
  • The Brio and mobile phone are withing 10 metres of each other
  • The volume is turned up

The Brio can not be found when a mobile phone tries to pair with it?

Your Brio may not be in the pairing mode, refer to the manual.

Does the apired Brio or the paired mobile need to be re-paired after turning either device off?

No. Please note that for the mobile phone supports Brio profile, the Brio and the mobile phone must be connected first.

I set up voice dialing but it's not working?

Check whetther or not your mobile phone supports voice dialing function and then make sure you have the recorded voice tag on your mobile phone. Note: when recording your voice tags, a noisy environment will affect the quality of the voice dialing.
