Linc II - Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to keep my Linc II in my computer’s USB port all the time?

Your Sudio Linc enables your computer with Bluetooth®. So if you want to establish a Bluetooth connection, you need to have your Linc II in your computer’s USB port during that time. If you are not using Bluetooth, you don’t need to have your Linc II in your computer’s USB port.

When I want to send a file from my computer to my mobile phone via Bluetooth, do I have to establish a new connection each time?

No you don’t. As long as your Linc II is in your computer’s USB port, you will automatically be connected and will be able to send and receive files from your computer to your phone and from your phone to your computer. However, if you want to use another Bluetooth device with your Linc II, you will need to establish a new connection with that device.

Do I have to install the Bluetooth software each time I want to use my Linc II?

No. You only need to install the Bluetooth software on your PC the first time you use your Linc II.

Can I use the Sudio Linc without installing the Bluetooth software?

Yes you can. Once you plug your Linc II into your computer’s USB port, your computer will automatically load the relevant software. See section 2 for more information. The additional Bluetooth software will provide you with advanced features such as advanced audio streaming, better device management and simultaneous device pairing.

Do I need to upgrade my Bluetooth software?

No you won’t need to at this stage. However, the software will be available at www.sudio.com.au/downloads if you loose your CD or if software revisions are available in the future.

Can I use my Bluetooth headset and my Bluetooth mouse at the same time with my Sudio Linc II?

Yes, the Sudio Linc II can be paired with multiple devices simultaneously.

Which devices can be paired with the Sudio Linc II?

I am using an Apple Mac and the software has automatically installed. Do I still need to install the Bluetooth software provided?
